Court Costs

State-legislated court costs provide funding for many services including:

Crime-Stoppers organizations
Breath alcohol testing programs
Training of police management personnel
Law enforcement personnel
Continuing legal education for judges and court personnel
Indigent defense
Compensation to victims of crime
State jury fund
State general fund

By City ordinance, this court also collects a local technology fund used to finance the purchase of or to maintain technological enhancements for the court and a local building security fund used to finance items for the purpose of security services for buildings housing a municipal court.
